MS WORD BASIC
COURSE ENROLLMENT - Enrollment for this class is limited to 12 students
COURSE LOCATION - Silicon room at the HOA2 Arts and Crafts Center
WORD AVAILABILITY- 8 computers with PC Office software & 4 club computers with Macintosh Office software. You may want to bring your own computer.
PREREQUISITES - Comfortable navigating and using Windows/Macintosh directories. For both PC & Mac users.
COURSE DESCRIPTION - Four 75 minute sessions over 4 weeks.
This is a course designed to expose the student to basic principles of word processing using Microsoft WORD 2016 or Office 365 program. The course includes an overview of the WORD desktop. After this overview, the class delves into the many functions and features of the program throughout the remainder of the course.
Topic will include:
-Desktop, Ribbon, Text Formatting, Editing of Documents
- Spacing, Page Layout, Page Formatting
-Insertion of Photos, Word Art and Clip Art
- Spell checking, Headers, Footers, Columns, Tables
This course is not meant for experienced Word users.
COURSE MATERIALS - Have a personal Flash drive for transporting files between the classroom and home.
